Concept
K initially approached us with an heirloom ring she had inherited that she wanted to be able to wear again. After discussing her options, we agreed that re-working it would be her best option - turning one ring she couldn't wear into two rings she can swap between and cherish to pass down.
As this was an emotional inherited piece, our design team chose to preserve the spirit of the original ring. The detail of the underhead spoke to the craftsmanship and care that was put in to the original ring, so we decided to leave this part untouched.
With one eye to the future, giving the main rhodolite ring plain shoulders meant that K can get the ring resized more easily. The addition of a shaped eternity ring means that K has the option to add the extra sparkle back in for special occassions.
K's family was also involved throughout the process, creating a collaborative design that will be loved for years to come.
